Simone de Angelis is Professor at the Centre for the History of Science at the University of Graz. His research focuses on the history and philosophy of science and medicine in the Early Modern Period, dealing in particular with epistemological, methodological and scientific theoretical issues and problems (visual perception, observation, autopsy and authority, trust, testimony, evidence, forms of representation of scientific knowledge, concepts of scientific ethos and habitus of the researcher, role of hypotheses in empirical-experimental research, etc.).
